Master the art of balloon defense with these essential strategies:
Find a good place for your initial defenses and start the first wave. Only dart and tack towers are affordable at this stage. Check weapon stats on the right side for information. Optimal placement covers pathways from multiple angles, especially for the tack tower.
Upgrade existing towers to handle increasing waves of balloons. The dart tower is the strongest piece throughout the game. Dart towers can be stacked anywhere and are powerful with the piercing darts upgrade - stack them strategically!
New balloon types (faster, multi-balloon) appear on later levels, requiring greater firepower. The trickiest of all is the black balloon. At this stage, consider the bomb and ice towers, which should be affordable.
Buy the bomb tower before the ice tower because only bombs can pop frozen balloons. Things can get out of hand quickly in the later game - think faster and build proactively. Eventually, you'll afford the super monkey, which shreds balloons like a machine.
Bloons Tower Defense doesn't last forever. Once your defenses are in place, you can coast through until level 50. Level 50 is the final round - complete it to end the game. Congratulations! Now it's time to play Bloons Tower Defense 2.
The most versatile and cost-effective tower. Essential for early game and remains powerful throughout. Upgrade path: Faster darts → Piercing darts → Triple darts. Best placement: Along straight paths and at corners.
